July 2009 News

It is with great sadness we announce the death of Ireina Baronova our patron and former ‘baby ballerina’ of the 1930s in Ballet Russes de Monte Carlo.

The Legat School reunion held in Tunbridge wells on July 6th was a very happy occasion celebrating the wonderful pianist Mr Frank Ealing’s 100th birthday.
He was in good form and made a lovely speech.
Mr Ealing played for the Legat School from 1946 and kept on playing until he was in his 90s

John and Tamara Moubayed made it a memorable day

The Harlequin Ballet reunion was held in London on August 30th organized by Patsy and Brian Beech.
It was a lovely day and we all enjoyed dancing in Hazel Moore’s class.
The champagne toast was in memory of John and Barbara Gregory.
A Lime tree will be planted in their memory in a beautiful field in Pett Nr Hastings In Sussex.
If you would like more information please contact Moya.

H H Princess Olga Romanoff is now our patron following in her family’s tradition. The Grand Duchess Xenia, Olga’s grandmother, was Nicolai Legat’s first patron.
Her father was patron of The Legat School, with Mme Nadine Nicolaeva Legat.
We are delighted that she is our patron.

The Legat Foundation are very grateful for all the donations received at both reunions.
